Senior Financial Controller

Are you ready to join a dynamic and hands-on agile company where your financial expertise will make a significant impact? We are on the lookout for a Senior Financial Controller to be part of our Group Finance function.

You will be part of a highly engaged and well-functioning Finance Department with 40 other skilled finance colleagues – across Denmark, the US, Germany, and Switzerland. You will be part of a smaller specialized team consisting of 2 financial controllers and a tax and treasury expert.

About the role
As a Senior Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality in internal and external reporting. This position demands a proactive and result-driven individual who can navigate within a collaborative finance organization. You will be a crucial sparring partner for your colleagues and will contribute broadly across the department on diverse projects and topics. The position is diverse and will encompass various responsibilities, including but not limited to the following

  • Consolidate group numbers and prepare the IFRS Annual Report and quarterly interim financial reports for Nasdaq OMX
  • Perform financial control of development in the balance sheet across the group
  • Collaborate with the business controlling team and reporting and planning team in preparing the monthly management reports, focusing on the balance sheet and cash flow
  • Prepare balance sheet and cash flow budgets for the group during budget and estimate rounds.  including the preparation of a budget package for the board of directors
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and act as IFRS specialist on upcoming topics including writing memos and updating our Finance Manual  
  • Further develop and enhance internal control processes and prepare presentations for the Financial Risk and Audit Committee
  • Participate in the “Record to Report” stream in our ongoing ERP project updating to a pharma version of D365. You will mainly contribute with knowledge within master data setup to ensure smooth reporting and the intercompany and consolidation processes.

You will work closely together with your other Financial Controller colleague on the above tasks.

Are you our next pioneer?
We are looking for a new colleague with +5 years of broad accounting experience with strong results and a cand.merc.aud. exam or similar qualification. Preferably combined with an auditor background and experience with internal controls. Due to this role, you must have solid experience with IFRS and reporting requirements for listed companies.

We expect you to have the ability to drive process improvements and execute specialized projects. We work with D365 – you could have other ERP system experience. Finally, you must have excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

You act proactively and have a change-ready, result-driven, systematic, and structured work behavior. You possess a strong enthusiasm for the assignments and demonstrate a determined commitment to achieving success and you are of course a team player.
