Integration Specialist (C# / Azure)

Become part of an exciting IT landscape expansion
You will join a team of four dedicated specialists within IT Integration Services, playing a key role in expanding and maturing our enterprise integration platform.

As Integration Specialist you will work closely together with our current Integration Lead and Integrations Services Manager to understand the needs and requirements for the integrations you propose and design. You will also be working in close contact with our external integration advisory consultants.

You will report to the Manager of IT Enterprise Architecture.

The integration landscape of today
Bavarian Nordic operates an enterprise integration platform built on Microsoft Azure with several business-critical integrations already in production. We are continuously expanding and standardizing the platform to meet the documentation and quality requirements of a regulated pharma environment. These platforms form the foundation of our integration strategy. We foresee many new integrations in the coming years as we are upgrading a number of our key IT systems in our landscape e.g. ERP, LIMS and CRM systems.

Your tasks will include:

• Design and implement integrations across a complex application landscape using our Microsoft Azure Integration Platform (e.g., Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Event Grid)
• Collaborate with process owners, IT business partners and system owners to clarify requirements, map data flows, and translate business needs into integration designs
• Develop, test and deploy APIs, Azure Functions, and integration components using C#/.NET and platform services
• Establish and maintain integration standards, templates, and reusable components to ensure consistent, scalable delivery
• Produce documentation required for a regulated pharma environment and contribute to platform operational documentation
• Monitor integrations and support incident troubleshooting in collaboration with our support teams and external integration partners, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions as well as Continuously improve the platforms

Are you our next pioneer?
We are looking for an Integration Specialist who complements the team with competencies within the development of integrations and APIs, using MS Azure tech-stack. We expect that you have the following qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience working with system integrations, integration platforms, or API development
• Strong hands-on development experience with C#/.NET as your primary language
• Familiarity with additional languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java is considered an advantage
• Practical experience with Azure Integration Services and/or similar iPaaS technologies
• Understanding of integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous, pub/sub, idempotency, correlation, versioning) and how to apply them in real solutions
• Experience building integrations in C#/.NET on Azure (Logic Apps and Function Apps), working with APIs (REST/OpenAPI, GraphQL, OData), authentication (OAuth2/OpenID Connect), and JSON/XML data formats
• Familiar with DevOps ways of working; source control, CI/CD, environment promotion, and infrastructure-as-code principles (experience is a plus)
• Comfortable operating in regulated environments with strong documentation requirements; knowledge of validation/CSV and data integrity is an advantage
