The role
We are seeking a Distribution Planning Manager, who can create and lead a new Distribution Planning capability that acts as the orchestration layer between Planning and Logistics Execution. In this role, you will define the scope, the mandate, and boundaries of Distribution Planning and embed the role and ways of working across the organization – especially shift execution from request-driven to plan-driven. You will establish and own the Distribution Planning capability that bridges Planning and Execution and makes short-term distribution predictable, proactive, and controlled.

Key responsibilities
 

• Own the short‑term (0-12 weeks) shipment plan, ensuring prioritization, visibility, and proactive risk identification

• Act as the orchestration point within S&OE, aligning all functions around one coherent shipment plan

• Interface with Logistics Operations to hand over priorities, manage exceptions, and continuously improve plan‑to‑execution flow

• Lead readiness and risk visibility, ensuring capacity, QA/QP timing, and PO paths are clear ahead of execution

To become a success in this role, you will quickly establish a well‑embedded distribution planning capability that is understood and adopted across the organization. You will create a forward‑looking, prioritized shipment plan that enables predictable and stable execution, while reducing disruptions over time. Through strong orchestration, proactive visibility of risks, and disciplined planning, you will help shift the organization from reactive issue‑management to a plan‑driven flow that strengthens decision quality and overall operational stability.

You will report to the Head of Global Distribution & Logistics. The role can either be located in Denmark or Switzerland. Traveling up to 15% is to be expected.

What you bring
You bring a strong foundation in supply chain, logistics, or planning, supported by relevant education and hands‑on experience in short‑term handling within complex environments. You excel at designing and embedding new processes, creating clarity across diverse stakeholders, and turning signals into structured decisions. With a proactive and analytical mindset, you naturally drive alignment, stability, and a shift from reactive firefighting to disciplined, plan‑driven execution.

You also bring:
 

• Experience working across Planning, Logistics, QA/QP, and similar functions

• Strong analytical and decision‑making skills with the ability to prioritize and manage risks

• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities, enabling effective orchestration
