About the Assignment
We are looking for a Data Steward to support data governance in a banking environment. In this role, you will help ensure that data is accurate, accessible, secure, and compliant, while acting as a key link between business and technical stakeholders.
You will work across functions to strengthen the organizations ability to manage data throughout its lifecycle and use it effectively for informed decision-making.
Job Description
- Ensure data quality by maintaining accurate, complete, consistent, and trustworthy information
- Document metadata, including data definitions, lineage, and business context
- Apply data governance policies, standards, and procedures
- Manage access controls and support the appropriate use of data
- Monitor compliance with regulations and internal policies related to data handling
- Investigate and resolve issues related to data quality, availability, and access
- Collaborate with IT, business teams, and leadership to align data practices with organizational goals
- Promote data literacy and support the effective use of data across the organization
Requirements
- Good knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of Power BI
- Experience in ETL processes and data sets
- Knowledge of data modelling for data warehouse
- Experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis related to data and processes
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Relevant university degree
- Ability to complete a background check before the assignment starts
