Site Selection Project Manager at atNorth
We are looking for a Site Selection Project Manager who can turn opportunity into execution. In this role, you will take ownership of site opportunities from early identification through due diligence, permitting, and into the initial design phase, ensuring each project is set up for successful delivery.
You will lead and coordinate critical due diligence and permitting processes, working closely with Design Managers and local consultants to evaluate site feasibility. From assessing key prerequisites such as power availability, connectivity, logistics, and accessibility, to managing regulatory requirements and agreements with local authorities, you will play a central role in shaping viable, future-ready sites.
We expect you to ensure that masterplans and test fits align with our reference designs, while navigating local requirements and stakeholder expectations. You will also oversee the progression of agreements, including power contracts and building permit applications, ensuring everything is in place for a smooth transition into the next project phases.
Key responsibilities:
Carrying site projects forward from being a pipeline project through project initiation
Implementing and following a structured process to ensure critical elements are covered
Responsible for all applications and permitting process for new projects
Supervising the TDD, LDD and Risk evaluation processes for individual projects
Maintaining and updating timelines and project overview
Overseeing the application process for all necessary permits in each project
Contract management responsibility for relevant contracts in the Site Selection process
Support Site Selection team for identifying, evaluating, and managing new data center development opportunities while ensuring our strategic expansion aligns with business goals, sustainability commitments, and local market dynamics
External contacting with grid companies, municipalities, electricity providers, landowners and more
Supporting market research and competitive benchmarking to inform expansion strategies
Your profile:
Strong project management skills with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset
Proven experience in infrastructure expansion, commercial real estate, or data center development
Experience navigating permitting, zoning, and regulatory processes (ideally in Nordic countries)
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation abilities
Ability to break down complex problems and focus on critical details
Proactive, self-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership
Ability to adapt to change, manage pressure, and adjust plans as needed
Proficient in one of the Nordic languages and English
