We now have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Manager Denmark in our Nordic Marketing Company. The role is based in our vibrant office in Carlsberg Byen in Copenhagen.
Your new team
You will be part of the Danish Corporate Affairs and report to the Head of Corporate Affairs for Denmark. You will also be working closely with the Danish Leadership and the Danish Country Director. Your focus will be on driving impactful external and internal communications activities in Denmark, and you will be working together with the Communications Leads in the rest of the Nordics as well as the European-Canadian and Global Corporate Affairs teams.
Your main tasks
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in positioning AstraZeneca as the leading pharma company in Denmark and be a key partner for the Danish Country Director and Leadership Team, as well as the wider Danish organization. You will work mostly with external communication, but you will also be driving key internal communication tasks. Your main responsibilities are:
Drive external activities for our corporate communication strategy in Denmark, and give communication counsel and support to the Brand Teams within our prioritized therapy areas.
Support the Danish Country Director and leaders on internal communications, and produce content, presentations and other materials for internal communication.
Assist with press releases and media pitches, as well as handling speaker opportunities and developing speaking notes, presentations, and briefing materials for our Danish leaders.
Develop our Danish website and create or localize content for our digital and social media channels.
Oversee Danish media monitoring, production of coverage reports, and creating and updating our media lists for Denmark.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
As an enterprise, we always look for talented dedicated people who share our passion for what science can do, someone who speaks up and challenge the status quo. For this role we are looking for a colleague with:
5-8 years working experience working with external and internal communication for example in a communication department in a company or organisation, from a communication agency, or from working as a journalist.
Solid media relations experience, including issues management.
Experience in counselling and creating different forms of communications material for senior leaders.
Good digital skills and knowledge of how the difference social and digital platform can be used – both externally and internally.
A relevant education, university degree in Communication or Media studies or similar, or as a journalist.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, since English is the most common language that we use within Nordic Marketing Company – also in Denmark. Knowledge of Danish would be an advantage.
You do not need to have experience from the healthcare sector, but you have a strong commitment to learn about pharma, science and the regulatory frameworks.
