Associate Scientist (On-site, Denmark)

Job summary

This role involves contributing to drug substance process development and optimization within a collaborative team at a pharmaceutical science center. The position focuses on laboratory-based chemical synthesis, particularly solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), and includes providing technical support for manufacturing activities at external partners.

Qualifications

• Specialized in synthetic organic chemistry
• Over 3 years of experience in solid phase peptide synthesis and optimization of peptide manufacturing processes
• Hands-on experience with HPLC and HPLC-MS analysis
• Experience in peptide purification is a plus
• Background in peptides and/or small molecule process development
• MSc in chemistry or equivalent experience as a Lab Technician
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing)

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory-based chemical synthesis with a focus on SPPS and related analytical work
• Plan, execute, and evaluate laboratory experiments, ensuring thorough documentation
• Prepare, write, and review development and technical documentation
• Define and document process parameters to support scalable processes
• Support upscaling and technical transfer activities at external manufacturing partners

Education

• MSc in chemistry or equivalent experience as a Lab Technician
