THE ROLE

We are currently searching for a new team member to join the global operations team as Supply Planner, based in Lynge, Denmark. Reporting to the Head of Operations who is also based in Denmark, the Supply Planner is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing the global supply plan to ensure the timely and cost-effective availability of products. This role plays a critical part in balancing demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and service levels while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as production, sales, customer service, purchasing, product management, and finance.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain accurate supply plans aligned with the demand forecast, inventory targets, and production or purchasing constraints.
  • Convert the supply plan into initial purchasing orders and place these orders with the global supplier network. Hand over the subsequent order tracking, monitoring and freight coordination to the office in Asia.
  • Collaborate with the buyers and production to ensure feasible production and sourcing plans. Work with demand planning to ensure timely completion and ERP-upload of the demand forecast.
  • Analyze demand variability, capacity constraints, and supplier performance to proactively address potential supply issues.
  • Work with product management to efficiently manage the phasing-in and phasing-out of products and components for new product introductions.
  • Optimize inventory levels to meet service targets while minimizing excess and obsolete stock. Provide visibility to the rest of the organization of excess inventory and provide input to activation plans to eliminate surplus inventory.
  • Monitor and report on key supply chain KPI’s, including service level (OTIF), inventory turns, forecast accuracy, capacity utilization and supply plan adherence.
  • Provide supply planning inputs to the S&OP process, identifying risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the global planning processes, tools, and data quality.
  • Own the end-to-end supply planning process in the ERP, including process description and documentation.
  • Work with buyers, demand planning and production to ensure effective maintenance and update of all ERP supply chain master data.
  • Provide scenario modelling and recommendations to support business decisions.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, business administration, engineering, or a related field (master’s degree a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of supply planning, inventory management, and S&OP processes.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Super user in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Advanced Excel skills and significant experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, Danish a plus.


OTHER

  • Experience in bicycle planning/manufacturing or assembly of complex multilayer BOM products.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Positive mindset with experience in influencing others without direct authority.
  • Continuous improvement and change management experience (Lean, Six Sigma a plus). Experience with process improvement, mapping and documentation.
