Role Overview
Reporting to the Executive Director, Logistics & Supply Chain, the Director, Supply Chain - EU/UK will be responsible for the launch, oversight and management of Savara’s Finished Goods (FG) commercial distribution operations in Europe, the United Kingdom and other countries. This role encompasses strategy development and tactical implementation across various nodes of the supply chain.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation and selection of packaging/labeling, storage and distribution, and supply chain related vendors and service providers
- Manage regional global trade compliance and import/export operations aligned with Savara’s trade compliance policy
- Develop strategies focused on distribution network optimization and improving efficiency while controlling expenditures
- Oversee Serialization operations to ensure compliance with EU FMD and other country markets specific barcoding, master data and data exchange requirements
- Maintain demand forecasts for FG and medical devices to ensure availability of supply
- SOP/Work Instruction development and management to support day-to-day operations
- Vendor management of relevant CMOs
- Other projects, responsibilities and duties as assigned

- Interview, hire, and onboard direct reports
- Provide constructive and timely ongoing feedback
- Motivate and direct work
- Proactively manage performance, including Savara’s disciplinary process
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years relevant experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry with focus on Biologics and Combination Product supply chain
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Chemistry, Engineering, or related fields
- Demonstrated supply chain demand planning experience
- Strong GXP focus and compliance mindset
- Experience working with Serialization SAAS and ERP providers
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and independently prioritize work, build relationships, and manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and compliance
- Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and ambiguity
- Ability to use expertise and skills to contribute to the development of company objectives and principles, and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways
Work Schedule and Location
- This role is based in Copenhagen, Denmark
- Occasional travel to the US corporate office outside of Philadelphia, PA and global vendor/partner locations is required.
