Integrated Business Planning (IBP) brings together forecasting, planning, and execution across marketing, sales, finance, procurement, manufacturing, and customer service into a unified process. This integration ensures alignment across the enterprise, leading to superior customer outcomes.
Agilent is building our enterprise planning capabilities to drive IBP across the business by establishing a centralized Planning Excellence Team (PET). This team will continue our Ignite IBP transformation journey which will strengthen our competitive advantage by enabling faster, more reliable planning. The IBP Data and Technology Steward, will bring key system and process knowledge capabilities to the PET team.
As the IBP Data and Technology Steward, you will drive the design, build, and operationalize the foundational models and data structures required for IBP, S&OP, and S&OE processes. You will ensure the Planning Excellence Team delivers high quality data modeling products. This is a critical role balancing data modeling expertise with the ability to interface with the commercial and global ops business leaders to enable better decision making.
Principle duties and responsibilities:
Provide oversight and mentorship to a team of junior data scientists and campus hires.
Oversee and maintain operating forecasts and inventory models optimizing for key performance KPIs (e.g., forecast accuracy and fill rate)
Develop scalable planning data pipelines, including extraction, and transformation and for all major planning systems
Ensure consistent data governance, including planning parameters, metadata rules, segmentation, and planning hierarchies
Establish a peer review process to ensure data model quality has checks and balances within the team before committing to the operations to safeguard any operational impacts or errors.
Assist the team with troubleshooting any anomalies in their algorithms.
Partner with Planning Stewards and Data Scientists to ensure model alignment with standards, analytics, and process maturity needs
Support the establishment of the core E2E planning data model, workflows, and system integrations to modernize planning technology and enable scalable enterprise planning
Partner with data scientists and IT to define system requirements, integration needs, enhancements, and modernization initiatives (e.g., IBP, APS, Smart Layer, BI)
Support configuration of planning applications, including scenario modeling, workflow automation, dashboards, and KPI frameworks
Provide scenario-modeling support during stabilization, including validation of inputs, outputs, and calculation logic
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's Degree or equivalent.
10+ years relevant experience for entry to this level.
Extensive knowledge in predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Spotfire or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Work with business to interface with business to enable decision making
Extensive knowledge and specialized expertise in planning or supply processes
Experience interfacing with IT to translate business requirements into technical capabilities
Strong executive presence and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to assess complex business problems and deliver impactful results.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with different levels of management.
Self-motivated and capable of operating independently.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least April 24, 2026 or until the job is no longer posted.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $143,760.00 - $224,625.00/yr USD in the US, or $140,784.00 - $219,975.00/yr CAD in Canada, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
