Our purpose is to bring hope to life by enabling life-changing therapies for patients around the globe, creating a healthier and happier tomorrow. Our mission is to work side by side with our customers in order to improve patients’ lives by bringing new biopharmaceuticals to market.

At AGC Biologics in Søborg, manufacturing is where complex science becomes real treatments for patients. Our downstream teams play a crucial role in this journey by purifying and refining biologic proteins into the final high-quality product delivered to our global biotech partners.

As a Process Operator in Mammalian Downstream Manufacturing, you will work hands-on with advanced purification technologies in a modern GMP facility. Your work will contribute directly to ensuring that biologic therapies are produced safely, efficiently, and according to the highest quality standards.

This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise in protein purification while collaborating with experienced colleagues across manufacturing, quality, and development.

Where Downstream Expertise Meets Advanced Manufacturing

In downstream manufacturing, the cell culture process transitions into purification and refinement. Here, the biologic product is separated from the cell culture and processed through advanced filtration and chromatography systems to achieve the required purity and quality.

In your daily work, you will help prepare production rooms and equipment, set up purification systems, and execute downstream processes such as chromatography and filtration. You will work with technologies including single-use systems, filtration equipment, and ÄKTA chromatography systems, ensuring processes are executed according to GMP procedures and production records.

Your responsibilities will also include sampling, swabbing, and completing production documentation such as batch records and logbooks. Together with your team, you will help ensure that purified product is delivered to the filling team while maintaining strong quality documentation in collaboration with QA and QC.

You will also participate in maintaining equipment readiness, including qualification, maintenance, calibration, and system checks to support reliable production operations.

A Team Focused on Collaboration and High Quality

You will join a team of technicians and scientists who work in a professional and collaborative way. Knowledge sharing and teamwork are essential, as the downstream process relies on close coordination with QC, QA, and development teams.

The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, but also supportive and structured. Colleagues help each other solve challenges, maintain strong GMP standards, and continuously improve the way we work.

Working in downstream manufacturing gives you exposure to advanced purification technologies and the opportunity to develop strong technical expertise in protein purification and GMP manufacturing.

What Will Help You Succeed

  • We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a structured production environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
  • You likely have a technical background such as Process Operator or Process Technologist and experience from manufacturing environments within biotech, pharmaceutical, or similar industries.
  • Experience with protein purification processes or chromatography systems such as ÄKTA will help you quickly contribute to the team. Just as important, you bring a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Since procedures and documentation are handled in English, fluency in written and spoken English is required.
