What you'll be doing

As part of the AI Engineering team at Halfspace, you’ll be building innovative solutions along with the very best within the field of scalable, robust and resilient GenAI, in many cases significantly changing how our clients work. You’ll have the opportunity to work at the forefront of a fast-moving field, and the responsibility to ensure that the rapid innovation has real impact. You’ll be part of defining what best practice looks like, when it comes to building production-grade Generative AI solutions that deliver value in practice.

You’ll work alongside engineers, scientists, and strategists from some of the world’s leading institutions, applying deep technical expertise and creative thinking to solve complex problems. From prototyping novel AI applications to operationalizing solutions at scale, you’ll bridge research and engineering to turn ideas into solutions that redefine performance.

Who we're looking for

We’re looking for engineers who are deeply passionate about Generative AI and motivated to build real-world systems with the technology. You combine strong technical fundamentals with hands-on experience working with LLMs and understand how to turn cutting-edge models into reliable, production-ready solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and deploying production-grade Generative AI systems
• Strong experience with agentic AI systems, including design and implementation of agent-based architectures and orchestration patterns
• Hands-on experience developing and working with AI agents in real-world development or similar applied settings
• Strong understanding of RAG architectures, including retrieval optimization and integration with agent-based systems
• Hands-on experience with LLMOps practices, including evaluation frameworks, regression testing, monitoring, and observability
• Experience designing data pipelines for LLM systems (chunking strategies, embeddings, vector databases)
• Strong Python engineering skills with production standards (testing, CI/CD, performance awareness)
• Experience deploying AI systems in cloud environments
