BD&L Operations Lead

As BD&L Operations Lead, you will enable a high-performing Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) function at Abacus Medicine Pharmaceuticals.

You will act as the operational backbone - translating strategy into execution through strong processes, systems, and data-driven insights. Working closely with the VP of BD&L and cross-functional stakeholders, you will bring structure, transparency, and performance focus to a complex and fast-moving environment.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Driving and optimizing BD&L processes, tools, and systems to ensure efficient and transparent execution

• Translating strategy into operational plans, KPIs, and performance insights that enable better decision-making

• Owning governance, reporting, and data foundations, including pipeline tracking, dashboards, and leadership communication

• Leading planning and budget follow-up while strengthening coordination across BD&L and key stakeholders

• Identifying improvement opportunities and driving initiatives that enhance collaboration and performance.
  

Your profile

You combine strategic thinking with operational discipline and thrive in roles where you create structure and clarity in complex environments.

You likely bring experience from business operations, consulting, or BD&L support within pharma or biotech, and are comfortable working at the intersection of strategy, data, and execution. You have a strong analytical mindset and are used to working with performance tracking, systems, and dashboards.

We expect that you:

• Have a relevant Master’s degree and and a proven track record within business operations, consulting, or BD&L support

• Bring experience with process optimization, performance management, or system/CRM implementation

• Are strong in data analysis and tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally Power BI or similar

• Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across functions and seniority levels

You are proactive, structured, and detail-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and take ownership in a fast-paced environment.
