AI Software Developer

3Shape’s solutions are disrupting traditional dental workflows by replacing physical impressions of patient teeth with highly accurate, high-resolution 3D scans and digital workflows. This provides patients worldwide with an improved customer experience, while giving dentists a wider range of treatment options, increasing efficiency, and allowing our customers to treat more patients.

We are looking for an AI developer in R&D to help us improve digital dentistry for both patients and clinicians. We are looking for a person with a background in computer science, mathematics, physics or other relevant STEM field, who wishes to develop machine learning on 3D geometry. You will be part of an innovative team that works in close cooperation with clinical experts and a wider group of specialized AI teams. In the team we are 12 people with a background in mathematics, engineering or dentistry.

Our shared responsibilities in the team

• Develop and maintain AI algorithms on 3D meshes using Python and C#

• Develop or improve 3D geometry methods to support AI on meshes or other representations of 3D data

• Work closely with dental experts to understand and define the problem and manage the training and test data

• Assess and document the performance of algorithms using Python/Pandas

• Participate in defining, developing and testing of MLOps and procedures for the wider AI organization

• Participate in knowledge sharing and cross-team collaboration in the wider AI organization

Your profile

• Master’s degree or a PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Engineering or a related field

• Proven experience with Machine Learning (e.g. deep neural networks, supervised and unsupervised learning)

• Solid software development skills, preferably in Python and C#

• Mindset for quality, flexibility, creativity, emerging technologies

• Interested in making technology with real impact on people

• Knows how to make the solution work in real-life.

• Have a mindset of continuous improvement and quality within software development
