SIBG Global Planning Project & S&OP Lead

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role 
As a SIBG Global Planning Project & S&OP Lead, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: 

• Lead global planning transformation projects from design through deployment, ensuring delivery of defined scope, timeline, and business outcomes.
• Serve as the SIBG S&OP Lead, managing the monthly S&OP cycle and coordinating across demand, supply, finance, commercial, and operations teams.
• Standardize and enhance global planning processes, tools, and data governance to support improved forecast accuracy and supply reliability.
• Facilitate executive S&OP meetings and ensure effective escalation, decision‑making, and performance tracking.
• Partner with regional and functional planning teams to ensure alignment and consistency in process execution.
• Drive change management activities, including training, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with IT and digital teams to support system enhancements, analytics solutions, and planning technology roadmaps.
• Monitor key performance indicators and develop action plans to address planning performance gaps.
• Identify and implement best practices to strengthen end‑to‑end planning capability and organizational readiness.

Your Skills and Expertise   

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations (completed and verified prior to start)

  • Significant experience in global supply chain planning, S&OP/IBP leadership, or large‑scale planning transformation initiatives.

  • Demonstrated project leadership experience in a complex, matrixed environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with planning systems (such as SAP, APO, Kinaxis, OMP, or equivalent).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills at all organizational levels.

  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive process improvement.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: 

  • Master’s degree in business or supply chain.

  • Certification in APICS, S&OP/S&OP, Lean, or related areas.

  • Experience working in a global manufacturing or multinational enterprise environment.

  • Background in digital planning transformation or advanced planning technologies.

Work location: Global - local to a 3M office  

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation: Not authorized
